Here’s Ted Hill performing his PowerPoint comedy on the final of Britain’s Got Talent last night.
He used his set to explain why he should be chosen to perform for the King as part of the Royal Variety Performance, part of the BGT prize.
Eventually, he came 7th in the competition, which was won by the Jeremy Clarkson-backed Hawkstone Farmers Choir, with drone artists Celestial coming second with their tribute to the ITV show.
Judge KSI called Hill ‘one of a kind’ adding: "I really enjoyed this. I really like the idea of you doing a PowerPoint prevention in front off the King. I honestly think that would be one of the most viral things on this planet. I loved everything about that. You're amazing, bro.
Alesha Dixon added: ‘You're so unique, one of a kind. You never know what you're gonna get with you. I've never seen comedy presented in this way. It's so different, it's hilarious, it's so stupid, but in the best way possible. It's fantastic, honestly. I loved it, Ted. Well done once again. ‘
In his set, Hill spoke about fearing he was ‘too weird’ for the Royal Variety Show.
Amanda Holden reassured him: ‘It’s good to be weird. It's made you come to the final of Britain's Got Talent. Being weird is to be celebrated. That's what our biggest celebration on Britain's Got Talent is. We love weird people. That was brilliant. Very funny. Once again you had me howling, well done.'
Simon Cowell, who had been roasted by Hill throughout his run on the show, said: ‘ Well, Ted, you've given me a bit of a hard time throughout the light shows… which is why I really like you. You are fearless, you're different, and I think apart from [that] you are really, really, really funny. I also think you are a really, really nice person.’
‘That’s true,’ Hill replied. ‘I wish I could say the same of you.’
