Guests asked who they'd like to bring back from the dead

Saturday Night Live UK star Larry Dean has launched a podcast with his husband, Mikey Crump.

The Resurrection Club, which starts today, asks guests to argue for resurrecting famous dead people – provided they're willing to sacrifice someone else to make it happen.

The hosts, both comedians who married in 2025, are hosting together for the first time. When asked what drew him to the project, Dean said: ‘Finally I can discuss people paler than me.’ Crump simply offered: ‘I love dead people.’

Episode one – recorded at the Edinburgh Fringe – features Lindsey Santoro choosing Edward II.

Other guests include Phil Ellis, Emmanuel Sonubi, Sam Lake and Olga Koch nominating figures including Cilla Black and Michael Jackson.

They are quizzed on other their candidate for resurrection would  adapt to the modern world, survive social media, get cancelled on day one – or would anyone actually care.

The podcast, produced by Huge Ask Media, will be released in weekly in video and audio format across all major platforms. A Patreon subscription provides bonus episodes, additional content and early access to recordings.
