RICKY GERVAIS’S MORTALITY: The comic's fourth Netflix special lands today, with Gervais saying: ‘I think Mortality is my most honest and confessional show so far and also my favourite tour. I still can’t believe what a privilege it is to fly around the world making people laugh.’ It was filmed at the London Palladium earlier this year as part of an 80-date world tour.
ROB AND ROMESH VS: Messrs Beckett and Ranganathan prepare to treat the boards in Romeo & Juliet at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London with the help of its artistic director, Michelle Terry, and actors, Jessie Buckley and Martin Freeman. Sky Max, 9pm

BEING Stanley Baxter: This hour-long tribute was scheduled to air today anyway, but is given added poignancy after the comedian died on December 11, at the age of 99. The film draws on rare archive footage and candid interviews to celebrate the Scottish legend's enduring legacy. BBC Scotland, 10.30pm
THE GRAHAM NORTON SHOW: Guests include Carey Mulligan and Tim Key talking about the indie comedy film The Ballad Of Wallis Island; and Laura Dern and Will Arnett chat about starring together in Is This Thing On?, the drama based on John Bishop's story of finding new purpose in life through stand-up. MRS. BROWN'S BOYS: Brendan O'Carroll's show limps on with Agnes and the gang preparing for an incoming storm. BBC One, 10.05pm
SHEDITES: It's followed by this pilot featuring both O'Carroll and Paddy Houlihan, who plays Dermot in Mrs Brown's Boys. The show is set in an Irish village and based around the sanctuary of the shed, where ‘men can make themselves useful building and repairing things’. Jon Petrie, the BBC’s director of comedy has said: ‘Paddy has a real feel for character-led humour that properly lands. Shedites is a warm, charming and funny comedy special.’ BBC One, 10.35pm
