The Paper returns to Sky
10 new episodes to drop in September
American sitcom The Paper is set to return to Sky for a second season on September 10
All ten episodes will drop at the same time – 24 hours after they arrive on Peacock in the US.
In season two, after sweeping the Ohio Journalism Awards, editor Ned (Domhnall Gleeson) embarks on a journalistic crusade that jeopardises the newspaper.
British stars Gbemisola Ikumelo and Tim Key, plus comic Alex Edelman return alongside Sabrina Impacciatore, Chelsea Frei, Melvin Gregg, G Ramona Young, Eric Rahill, Duane Shepard and Oscar Nuñez.
New guest stars this season include actors Jon Lovitz, Andy Richter, Lisa Gilroy, Matt Braunger, Toks Olagundoye and Phil Hendrie.
The show was a spin-off from The Office, with the documentary crew that immortalised Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch now focusing on new subject: a historic Midwestern newspaper and the publisher trying to revive it.
The Paper is created, written and executive produced by Greg Daniels and Michael Koman. Because of its connection to The Office, Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant are also credited as executive producers.
Series two will also stream on Now.
