Sean's Lock's The Tiger Who Came For A Pint needs to be real!

Fans call on publishers to release comedian's spoof

comedySean Lock fans have called for his spoof children's book The Tiger Who Came For A Pint  to be published.

They said the parody, which he revealed on 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown a couple of years ago, could raise money for cancer charities.

The comedian died at the age of 58 this week, surrounded by his family at home, following a cancer battle.

On the show Lock said his version of  Judith Kerr's 1968 kids' classic ‘mixes two of my favourite things: tigers and alcohol’, and he joked that ‘it’s going to sell a million’

His feline hero went out in search of 'a pint that packs a punch like Stella or Kronenbourg’.

He explained: 'The tiger was thirsty and needed something to wash down the zookeeper he’d just eaten. He liked the atmosphere of Wetherspoons. Plus he was barred from the King’s Head for mauling the darts team.’

The tiger drank the pub dry, then ‘ate the meat raffle’ and ‘went to toilet on the bar’ –  before getting a cab home to the zoo: ‘Pavel from Station Cars greeted him. The journey went smoothly and, finally, after a lot of questions, the tiger said, "Look, for the last time, it’s not a onesie!"'

One fan called Andy posted: 'I’d certainly buy a copy and it would be a great way to raise money to benefit cancer research in memory of a genius…’

Another fan suggested it could be released as part of Channel 4's annual Stand Up To Cancer fundraiser.
