Laura Smyth got the Eventim Apollo Hammersmith renamed in her honour this week – even if those at the venue were not entirely sure about it.
She got workmen to alter the letters on the London venue’s marquee to read ‘Apollo Hammersmyth’ in honour of her appearing there later this year.
The comic said that it was a ‘glaring oversight’ that it had not been done sooner… and if you think she was been overly forceful to get the job done, she concedes that she’s always been that way. After all, the autumn tour is called Born Aggy…
