Sunday June 21

BRIGHTON: It will definitely be stand-up comedy at the Forge club at the Ironworks, given all the comics are likely to be too sore to sit, having just taken part in the charity London to Brighton bike ride in aid of the British Heart Foundation. On the bill are Emmanuel Sonubi, Stephen Grant, Laura Lexx and Dinesh Nathan.

Monday June 22

LONDON: Ania Magliano, co-host of SNL UK's Weekend Update and former Taskmaster contestant, starts a two-week residency at Soho Theatre with her show Peach Fuzz, described as covering 'the quirks of her own body, the legend that is Eve (yes, from Adam and) and her newly discovered boundaries'.

LONDON: Lots of venues turn over their programming to Edinburgh previews over the next few weeks, but its long history and well-respected status mean Downstairs At The King's Head in Crouch End gets some of the best of the bunch. Its season kicks off today with Matt Forde and Hugh Davis, with the likes of Mark Steel, Glenn Moore, Flo & Joan and Mark Thomas popping by later. Downstairs At The King's Head comedy listings.

BRISTOL: Simon Amstell launches a tour of his latest bout of intense and funny navel-gazing, I Love It Here, at the Old Vic. The show features dispatches from the Hollywood world he found himself swept up in. Generally his life is in a good place, comfortably off and enjoying a settled relationship, which may not be good for his art – so thank the comedy gods that the universe has thrown him plenty of unusual experiences to keep him on the back foot, not quite fitting in. Simon Amstell tour dates and review.

Friday June 26

LONDON: The voice of Scotland's unofficial World Cup anthem - a reworking of the Cheers theme - Rosco McClelland brings his stand-up show How Could Hell Be Any Worse? to Soho Theatre for two nights. It was one of the best-reviewed shows of last year's Edinburgh Fringe, as you might have expected from the winner of the 2025 Sir Billy Connolly Spirit of Glasgow Award. Read ours here.

WINCHESTER: Angela Barnes, Arthur Smith, Ray Badran and Tom Deacon take part in Winchester Comedy Festival's summer gala at the Theatre Royal, ahead of the festival proper coming in the autumn.
