ITV renews its black history panel show

ITV has renewed its panel show Sorry I Didn’t Know for a seventh series.

Chizzy Akudolu will return as host alongside team captains Eddie Kadi and Richard Blackwood.

The show sees two teams battling it out to prove who knows more about black history, with previous panellists including Susan Wokoma, Babatunde Aleshe, Suzi Ruffell, Tom Allen, Nish Kumar and Curtis Walker. 

New episodes will be taped at Riverside Studios in Hammersmith, West London, on September 8, 9 and 10 – and free tickets are available here.

The show was first piloted in 2016, with a four-part series airing in Black History Month in 2020. Original host Jimmy Akingbola stepped down after series four.

It is made by Triforce Productions, a black-led company Akingbola founded with actor Fraser Ayres.
