Top cast for audio sitcom about a 'blind idiot'

Steve Pemberton, Chloe Petts and Alison Steadman are starring in a new audio sitcom about ‘being blind …and a bit of an idiot’.
You’ve Got Braille – to be released as a four-part podcast across all major platforms on Friday – has been made by production company Hat Trick with the RNIB charity.
It is written by Reece Finnegan, who was registered blind from a young age, and Jack Bernhardt, a writer who also co-hosts Taskmaster: The People’s Podcast with Jenny Eclair.
Finnegan also stars in the show, which follows Paddy, who is described as ‘a disorganised, indecisive twenty-something who is registered blind and more susceptible to peer pressure than the cast of a 1980s anti-drug advert’.
He is trying to hold down a job, persuade the girl he likes to go out with him, and generally look cool in front of his mates – and while everybody assumes he must be some kind of role model, that could not be further from the truth.
The cast also includes SNL UK’s Al Nash, comics Sukh Kaur Ojla and Kevin ‘KG’ Garry and Inbetweeners actor Martin Trenaman.
Yvonne Milne, head of RNIB Connect Radio, said: ‘Collaborating with Hat Trick on this great new podcast is an exciting opportunity to reach new audiences, support a visually impaired writer, and ultimately use comedy as a way to improve understanding and empathy around blind and partially sighted people’s experiences.’
