Winning Strictly... what are the odds?

Bookies don't have Ellie Taylor and Jayde Adams among their favourites

comedyJayde Adams and Ellie Taylor are rank outsiders to win Strictly Come Dancing, according to the latest bookies’ odds.

William Hill has Adams a 20/1 long shot, with fellow comic Taylor at 22/1.

Both are a long way ahead of Loose Woman Kaye Adams, at 40/1 but well behind the series favourite, Helen Skelton, at 7/2.

Yesterday, Taylor posted an image of her in rehearsals to her 177,000 Instagram followers, saying: ‘Time to sweat away my eyebrows and be told off cos my boobs are jiggling too much. The old girls don't get out much, they'll take what they can.’

Meanwhile Adams told reporters she had told her drag queen friends she was taking part in the show before the news broke.

‘I did tell people, but I had on my phone what I refer to as my Strictly circle of trust. I started my career off in the drag scene in in East London and it's all that lot,’ she said.

‘So there's loads of our friends that are going to be in the new series of Drag Race, we've kept secrets in the group as it is, so I had a group of people I was able to keep the secret from.

‘When I went up to Edinburgh  there was no way I was trusting comedians with this information whatsoever! So I think it's four days I had to keep it in, and every time I spoke to someone I reckoned I had the glow of someone that was going to be on Strictly Come Dancing.’

The show starts on BBC One tomorrow, having been delayed from last weekend because of the Queen’s death. Here are the introductory videos the BBC put out about the comedians taking part"
