Comic reveals a hidden torment on The Celebrity Traitors

James Acaster did not take the pressures of being a traitor well, as his bombshell round-table revelation that led to his banishment from The Celebrity Traitors last night revealed.

But the comedian has also spoken about another almost unendurable torment he had to endure on the hit BBC One show.

In an interview, he revealed that contestants have to listen to the folk ballad The Hanging Tree – as heard on the Hunger Games soundtrack – in full, every night before the round table.

The camera then pans around the cast to capture everyone’s ‘serious face,’ Acaster revealed. ‘It was every fucking time. It was the only song we heard the whole time we were in there, and all day I would have it in my head constantly.’
