What a week! Last One Laughing and SNL UK
The best of the week's comedy on TV, radio and streaming
Our pick of the comedy on TV, radio and streaming this week.
Sunday March 15
MOCK THE WEEK: Dara Ó Briain sets the questions for Ed Byrne, Hugh Dennis, Ellie Taylor, Alasdair Beckett-King, Janine Harouni andseries regular Rhys James. TLC, 9pm.
BOARDERS: The coming-of-age comedy drama following five underprivileged black students on scholarship at an elite boarding school returns for a third and final series. In the first of two episodes on tonight, exam term at St Gilbert's is thrown into chaos by an act of vandalism, and in the second, a career day goes wrong, leaving the students variously fuming, stressed and love-struck. The series stars Josh Tedeku, Jodie Campbell, Myles Kamwendo, Sekou Diaby and Aruna Jalloh. BBC Three, 10pm.
Monday March 16
RICHARD OSMAN'S HOUSE OF GAMES: Inside No 9's Steve Pemberton returns for another champion's week, where he'll be pitched against Steve Backshall, Sam Quek and Rachel Riley. BBC Two, 6pm
Thursday March 19
LAST ONE LAUGHING: A welcome return for what was THE comedy entertainment hit of last year, with a bunch of comics holed up together and told to make each other laugh, without cracking up themselves. This year's line-up comprises David Mitchell, Diane Morgan, Romesh Ranganathan, Amy Gledhill, Maisie Adam, Mel Giedroyc, Alan Carr, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Sam Campbell and returning champ Bob Mortimer. Jimmy Carr is back as host with Roisin Conaty at his side. The first three episodes drop today, with two more on March 26 and the final on April 2. Prime Video
Friday March 20
DEADLOCH: A second series for this low-key, off-kilted detective comedy, starring Kate Box and Madeline Sami as The Odd Couple detectives in small-town Australia (this time moving from Tasmania to the Northern Territory). Luke Hemsworth joins the cast for series two. Prime Video
JURY DUTY PRESENTS: COMPANY RETREAT: Also returning is this format, likened to a real-life Truman Show, in which one unsuspecting member of the public – this time, a guy called Anthony Norman – is plunged into an odd situation which he thinks is real but is actually populated by actors. After series one covered a fake trial, this one revolves around a peculiar family farm. Prime Video
COMIC RELIEF: The 2026 edition of the biennial fundraising spectacular, with Catherine Tate (appearing as Nan), Nick Mohammed and Katherine Ryan hosting for the first time, joining returning hosts Davina McCall and Joel Dommett. BBC One, 7pm.
THE CLAUDIA WINKELMAN SHOW: In the second episode of her new talk show, Winkelman is joined by Irish comic Joanne McNally and Man Like Mobeen's Guz Khan as well as actress Rachel Zegler and singer-songwriter Niall Horan. BBC One, 10.40pm
THE LAST LEG: Adam Hills, Josh Widdicombe and Alex Brooker are joined this week by Jack Dee and GK Barry. Channel 4, 10pm. 3/20: Simon Brodkin: Screwed Up
Saturday March 21
SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE UK: The overused term 'much-anticipated' doesn't do justice to the launch of the British version of the American TV institution – but hopefully the weight of expectation is not overwhelming. At the very least the six-part series will shine a spotlight on a new generation of sketch and stand-up performers away from the usual panel-show roster. Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring, George Fouracres, Ania Magliano, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep, Emma Sidi and Paddy Young are backed by a huge and talented writing team. A lot of fingers will be crossed that this all works out. Sky One, 10pm (Then repeated on Sky Comedy at 11.30pm)
THE JONATHAN ROSS SHOW: Gavin and Stacey co-writer Ruth Jones is among the listed guests as is Rachel Zegler – rather awkwardly as she will have been on Claudia Winkelman's sofa not 24 hours earlier. ITV1, 10pm.
