Brighton’s Elm Grove Primary School have put on a fantastic night of comedy featuring the best stand-up stars from the city and beyond, with Joe Wilkinson, Kerry Godliman, Zoe Lyons, Laura Lexx, Angela Barnes, Michael Fabbri, Ingrid Dahle, Maureen Younger and MC Jen Brister performing at the Komedia tonight.

BRISTOL: The annual Comedy Garden kicks off on the Downs, featuring the likes of Nish Kumar, Phil Wang, James Acaster and Aisling Bea over the four days. Many of the shows are sold out, but at the time of writing there are still spaces at shows featuring Al Murray, Henning Wehn, Ardal O’Hanlon, Nina Conti, Reginald D Hunter, Milton Jones and more. YEOVIL: America's Got Talent winner Paul Zerdin stages a comedy ventriloquism gig at the Yeovil theatre as part of its ‘name a seat’ initiative to secure its future. The show will also be recorded for later release.

Thursday June 16

LONDON: Good Ship comedy starts a new night at The Grafton on Holloway Road tonight, with Nick Helm headlining the opening night. It’s in aid of the Willow Foundation, a charity set up by Arsenal legend Bob Wilson to provide special days out for seriously ill young adults and support comes from Archie Maddocks, Juliet Meyers and MC Ben Van Der Velde. MELBOURNE: The Just the Tonic Comedy Club are hosting a massive Comedy Shindig with shows in this Derbyshire venue all weekend featuring the likes of Daniel Kitson, Julian Clary, Gary Delaney and Angela Barnes. LONDON: Tonight’s London Comedy Allstars line-up at the Underbelly Festival in Cavendish Square lives up to the title… apart from them being from London. Erika Ehler, Leo Reich, Lou Sanders, Sally-Anne Hayward, Sara Barron will be gracing the Spiegeltent stage.

WINCHESTER: The city’s comedy festival kicks off in September, but by way of an amuse-bouche comes its summer gala, featuring Ted Lasso’s Brett Goldstein, Seann Walsh, whose stand-up special about the aftermath of THAT Strictly kiss is available on YouTube, Peter Rethinasamy and James Gill.
