Latitude announces its comedy stars

O Briain, Jones and Murray lead line-up

Dara O Briain, Milton Jones and Al Murray have been named as the first big comedy names for this year’s Latitude festival.

Murray will be performing his ‘saloon show’, in which he introduces guests in his fictional pub.

Other comics appearing at the festival in Southwold, Suffolk, from July 17 to 20, include Josh Widdicombe, Marcus Brigstocke & Andrew Maxwell, Tim Key, Josie Long, Katherine Ryan and Trevor Noah.

And a number of the finalists in the Chortle Comedy Award with ALCATEL ONETOUCH and Universal Pictures (UK) will also be showcasing their stand-up talents.

Weekend adult tickets for Latitude – which boasts as music headliners Damon Albarn, Two Door Cinema Club and The Black Keys  –  are £187.50 plus £8 booking fee.

Cabaret acts announced last night include Duckie, Miss Behave’s Gameshow, Margaret Thatcher Queen Of Soho, Eastend Cabaret and Ophelia Bitz.

More names in both categories - including headliners - are set to be announced in the run-up to the festival.
