Filming starts on series two of Jerk

Tim Renkow’s BBC comedy is coming back

Filming has begun on the second series of Tim Renkow’s BBC comedy, Jerk.

Four new episodes are being shot in South East London for future broadcast on BBC Three.

Renkow is writing the second series with Shaun Pye, with  Lorraine Bracco, Sharon Rooney  and Rob Madin all returning to the cast.

The comic said: ‘We're back! I can't wait to get back to work, see everyone and contribute to the fall of western society.’

In the show he plays a fictional version of himself, using the fact that he has cerebral palsy to try to get away with anything, and to purposefully make people feel uncomfortable.

Shane Allen, director of comedy commissioning at the BBC, added: ‘Great to have the most wickedly funny and boundary pushing show on British TV back for more no holds barred comedy. Jaw dropping and side splitting in equal measure.’

Last year, Renkow was nominated for Breakthrough Act at the RTS Awards and was selected through the Bafta Breakthrough scheme.
