Comics Adam Hills, David O’Doherty, Fern Brady, Munya Chawawa, Leigh Francis, Rhod Gilbert and Suzi Ruffell are to take part in the next series of  Celebrity Bake Off.

The series – again in aid of Stand Up To Cancer – will return to Channel 4 this spring.

Now the broadcaster has announced the 20 famous names taking part, and how they will be grouped.

The full list is:

  • Jodie Whittaker with Paloma Faith, Munya Chawawa and Spencer Matthews
  • Danny Dyer with Rhod Gilbert, Yinka Bokinni, and Leigh Francis
  • David O’Doherty with Oti Mabuse, Gabby Logan, and Suzi Ruffell
  • Dermot O’Leary with Greg James, Fern Brady and Mel B
  • The Reverend Richard Coles with Sara Cox, Joe Locke and Adam Hills

Alison Hammond, who appeared on the celebrity version of the show before joining the show as host alongside Noel Fielding, said, ‘I’m totally in awe of this year’s celebrity bakers, all putting their baking skills, or in some cases lack of, under nationwide scrutiny.

‘And as someone who proved to be something of a baking genius when I baked in the tent a few years ago, I was delighted to be able to show them the ropes and where the oven doors were.’
