...plus two nods for Bo Burnham in the Television Critics Association awards

Ted Lasso leads the field in the Television Critics Association award shortlists, announced last night.

The Apple+ comedy has five nominations in the US awards including individual achievement in comedy for stars Jason Sudeikis and Hannah Waddingham, as well as nominations for outstanding new programme, outstanding achievement in comedy, and program of the year.

The news comes after British comics Brett Goldstein – who also writes on the show – and Nick Mohammed were nominated for Emmys for their supporting roles alongside co-stars Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple and Brendan Hunt

Bo Burnham’s lockdown special, Inside, also got two nods in the TCA shortlists, for individual achievement in comedy and for outstanding achievement in movies, miniseries or specials.
