With CMAT the musical guest

Jeff Goldblum is to host the first episode in series two of Saturday Night Live UK, it has been announced.

And Irish singer‑songwriter CMAT will be the musical guest.

Jurassic Park star Goldblum has twice hosted the US original – in 1993 and 1997 – while David Duchovny impersonated him in a 1998 Celebrity Jeopardy! sketch on the show.

The new series launches on September 12 on Sky and streaming service Now and will run initially for six episodes, with a week off on October 3, followed by the rest of the series in early 2027.

All the cast of series one are returning: Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring, George Fouracres, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep and Emma Sidi with Ania Magliano and Paddy Young as the Weekend Update anchors.
