Jimmy Carr announces 2027-28 tour
'Being offended at his show is like going to a horror movie and complaining you got scared'
Jimmy Carr has announced another mammoth tour spanning 2027 and 20208
A batch of 138 shows, kicking off at New Wimbledon Theatre in London on July 4 and concluding at the Embassy Theatre in Skegness on August 26, 2028, will go on sale from 10am on Saturday.
The total number of shows is swelled as Carr almost always plays two shows a night in the same venue.
In additional to the UK dates, the tour includes an additional 24 US dates.
The blurb reads: ‘In comedy, "killing" is a good thing. Everywhere else, it's frowned upon. Jimmy has confirmed kills in over 50 countries and on 13 special’.
It also defended the show for being ‘packed with fast, dark one-liners about all kinds of terrible things,’ adding: ‘But they are just jokes. They're not the terrible things.’
And of Carr’s divisive reputation, it adds: ‘Jokes are like magnets. They attract some people and repel others. You can joke about anything, but not with anyone. If you’re attracted to Jimmy's brand of comedy and think you can take the jokes, then by all means come out and play.
‘If you think you'd be offended, then stay away. At this point, being offended at a Jimmy Carr show is like buying a ticket to a horror movie and complaining you got scared. Don’t be a dummy.'
Carr’s previous tour show, Terribly Funny, which started in 2019, sold more than 1.2 million tickets, while his promoters say his recently concluded Laughs Funny tour surpassed that total.
The news comes ahead of the special Halloween run of Last One Laughing starting on Amazon’s Prime Video steamer on Friday.
