Sunday February 1

MOCK THE WEEK: Revived by the TLC channel – not hitherto known for its comedy – the satirical panel show makes its unexpected return after a three-year absence. Dara Ó Briain is  back as host with panellists Angela Barnes, Ed Byrne, Sara Pascoe, Ahir Shah, Russell Howard and new series regular Rhys James. Monday February 2

RICHARD OSMAN'S HOUSE OF GAMES: Taskmaster comic Fatiha El-Ghorri – who just announced a short tour tests her knowledge against  The Great British Sewing Bee’s Patrick Grant, 1980s keep-fit guru Mr Motivator and Strictly pro Lauren Oakley across the week. BBC Two, 6pm 

HIGH HOOPS: The CBBC comedy about a school basketball team – and featuring Isy Suttie and Robert Webb – returns for a second series, with guest stars including Johnny Vegas. CBBC, 6:00pm.

JUST A MINUTE: Chris Cantrill makes his debut alongside regulars Paul Merton, Lucy Porter and Zoe Lyons in the comedy panel game where contestants must talk for one minute without repetition, hesitation or deviation. Radio 4, 6:30pm. 

OUT OF ORDER: The latest series of Rosie Jones’s panel show features Suzi Ruffell and Fern Brady. Comedy Central, 9pm.

Tuesday February 3

MO GILLIGAN: IN THE MOMENT: Mo Gilligan's 2025 stand-up show comes to Netflix, in which he reflects on fame, family, and the experience of being British in America.

YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST: Chris McCausland welcomes panellists Fin Taylor, Fatiha El-Ghorri, Alasdair Beckett-King and Harriet Kemsley, all competing to figure out which audience members are lying, guess what children are trying to describe, and work out famous films from abstract sound cues. Radio 4, 6:30pm. 

QI: Sandi Toksvig is joined by panellists Sally Phillips, Andrew Maxwell, Joanne McNally, and Alan Davies. BBC Two 9pm.

LIVE AT THE APOLLO: Kiri Pritchard-McLean introduces Eshaan Akbar and Angela Barnes. BBC Two, 9:45pm.

Wednesday February 4

THE MUPPET SHOW: Will this one-off special – featuring Sabrina Carpenter as a guest – herald a more permanent return for Miss Piggy, Fozzie, Kermit and Co? Time will tell. For now, it’s on Disney+ from today.

CROSSING THE FLOOR: A new sitcom about MP Rosie Holt's path to power after defecting from the Conservatives to Labour, written by Rosie Holt with David Quantick. Stars Rosie Holt, Mark Bonnar, Ellie White, Amy Gledhill and Freya Carter. Radio 4, 6:30pm.

OUR YORKSHIRE PUB RESCUE: This new   our-part documentary  follows Jon Richardson  as he tries to restore The Plough in Fadmoor, North Yorkshire, after it was bought by locals for the community in 2024. More4,  9pm

Thursday February 5

FINLAY ​CHRISTIE IS YOUNGER THAN YOU: 26-year-old Gen Z social media star Finlay Christie makes his Radio 4 debut with a stand-up special exploring why his generation are simultaneously the worst and best generation to save the world. Radio 4, 6:30pm. 

DINOSAUR: Ashley Storrie’s sitcom about autistic Nina  drops on iPlayer today, and airs a double bill on BBC Scotland at 9pm. Eight months after we last saw her, Nina is knee-deep in mud on an Isle of Wight dig site, living her palaeontology dream… but in truth she’s exhausted and missing Glasgow, her family  and her home comforts. 

Friday February 6

THE BENCH: It's coincidentally the title of Mike Wozniak's new tour, too, but this original short story about courage and new beginnings is written and read by Peep Show’s Isy Suttie. Radio 4, 3:45pm.

THE NEWS QUIZ: Andy Zaltzman hosts with panellists Desiree Burch, Pierre Novellie, Danny Finkelstein and Catherine Bohart. Radio 4, 6:30pm.

WOULD I LIE TO YOU? This episode features Josh Pugh, Rebecca Lucy Taylor (aka Self Esteem), Eddie Kadi, and Lucy Beaumont. BBC One 8:30pm.

Saturday February 7

 YOU'RE DEAD TO ME: Greg Jenner is joined by Professor Edith Hall and comedian Olga Koch to learn about mathematician Hypatia of Alexandria and her life in late Ancient Egypt. Radio 4, 10:00am.
