IMPATIENT ONLINE: Following the success of NextUp’s streams and catch-up shows from the Edinburgh Fringe, Mark Watson’s production company offers three consecutive nights of festival shows in a ‘snap mini-festival’ arranged at short notice. It kicks off with Tom Mayhew and Ted Hill, with Bethany Black and Harriet Dyer tomorrow and Isabelle Farah and Paul Savage on Tuesday. Each double bill is a fiver. 7.30pm Details

Monday September 26

BRIAN AND CHARLES: Available digitally on platforms including Sky Store and Apple TV today is David Earl, and Chris Hayward's quirky film comedy based on Earl's stand-up alter-ego, Brian Gittins. Brian, a lonely inventor in rural Wales, spends his days building quirky, unconventional contraptions that seldom work. Undeterred by his lack of success, Brian attempts his biggest project yet. Three days, a washing machine, and various spare parts later, he's invented Charles, an artificially intelligent robot who learns English from a dictionary and has an obsession with cabbages. CELEBRITY I LITERALLY JUST TOLD YOU: Jimmy Carr presents a new series of the game show, with the openine episode featuring sporty celebs John Barnes, Gabby Logan, Harry Redknapp and Sue Smith before the civilians return for episode two, on Friday. Channel 4, 10pm

MEL GIEDROYC: UNFORGIVABLE: Joining Mel and sidekick Lou Sanders this week are Joel Dommett who lifts the lid on a shocking act involving a kettle and an even more unspeakable deed involving a mattress, Craig Revel Horwood who reveals how he ruined a bride’s big day and and Thanyia Moore who bares all on the devious way she got revenge on a teacher. TASKMASTER: The 14th series gets under way with Dara O Briain, Fern Brady, John Kearns, Munya Chawawa and Sarah Millican taking part in hip-touching, hand-finding and milk-lifting challenges. Channel 4, 9pm  

I HATE YOU: Launching as a box set on All 4 today, this new comedy from Friday Night Dinner creator Robert Popper revolves around two best friends in their mid-20s - Charlie (Tanya Reynolds) and Becca (Melissa Saint). Charlie is a bit of a worrier who thinks 99 per cent of humans are dickheads, while Becca, who has no embarrassment gene, usually makes the wrong decision. They share a flat that is, in true Odd Couple style, half spotless and half 'shittery'.

FANTASY FOOTBALL LEAGUE: Matt Lucas and Elis James take to the sofa to revive the football and comedy chat show, joined by stand-up Andrew Mensah and star guests including Brian Cox, Jennifer Saunders,  Sir Trevor MacDonald,  Sir Mo Farah,  Guz KhanRussell Howard, Chris McCausland, Doc Brown and   Maisie Adam. THE REAL McCOY: Series two to five of the groundbreaking 1990s sketch show that brought the black British perspective to TV arrives on Britbox, featuring the likes of  Leo Chester, Curtis Walker, Felix Dexter and Robbie Gee. Also coming to the platform today are 3 Non-Blondes, with Jocelyn Jee Esien, Ninia Benjamin and Tameka Empson, and Scottish sitcom Rab C Nesbitt.
