With previous winners in conversation

Dave’s Edinburgh Comedy Awards is to release a new podcast series celebrating previous winners.

Awards director Nica Burns, pictured, will present the four-part series, which features Rose Matafeo, Harry Hill, Al Murray, Jenny Eclair, Catherine Cohen and Roisin Conaty – as well as this year’s winners after they are announced next Saturday.

All four half-hour episodes will be available on Acast and all other podcast platforms from Tuesday.

Awards organisers have also confirmed that previous winner Russell Kane will host the nominees gala at The Pleasance next Thursday. As previously revealed, it will be recorded for an hour-long Radio 4 programme to be broadcast at 11pm that evening. The awards also have a partnership deal with TikTok which means backstage footage will be livestreamed on the platform, hosted by Janine Harouni.

Nominees for this year’s awards will be announced on Wednesday August 24.
