New venture for Taskmaster champion

Morgana Robinson is piloting a new series that mixes celebrity chat with comedy characters.

Details of the show – provisionally titled Morgana Meets – are scant, but the trial episode is to be recorded in London next month.

Producers describe it as a ‘chat-fuelled evening of daft and playful comedy romping’.

Robinson was the winner of series 12 of Taskmaster last year, while her other comedy credits include House of Fools, Newark, Newark, Morgana Robinson's The Agency and The Morgana Show.

She will soon be seen opposite Dylan Moran in the forthcoming BBC comedy Stuck, about a couple with an age gap whose relationship is stuck in a rut.

Robinson has also joined ITV drama The Larkins for its second series, being filmed this summer, playing a character called Pinkie.
