Double award nominations for Rose Matafeo and Starstuck

Broadcasting Press Guild announce their shortists

Rose Matafeo is up for two accolades at this year’s Broadcasting Press Guild Awards.

The comic has been shortlisted in the breakthrough category alongside We Are Lady Parts creator Nida Manzoor and the core cast of It's A Sin.

Meanwhile, Matafeo’s romcom Starstuck is up for best comedy alongside Alma’s Not Normal, Sex Education and Stath Lets Flats.

Comedian Rosie Holt has been nominated in the ‘emerging creators’ category for her spoof online videos. She’s up against  YouTubers Chunkz and Michael Dappah,  trainspotting TikToker Francis Bourgeois and blind presenter Lucy Edwards.

In the best entertainment category Mel Giedroyc: Unforgivable and Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing have been nominated nominated alongside Michael McIntyre's The Wheel, Strictly Come Dancing and The Masked Singer.

Dark comedy drama Guilt is up for best drama, with creator Neil Forsyth shortlisted for best writer alongisde Jimmy McGovern, Russell T Davies, Chris Lang Sarah Phelps

The 48th annual BPG Awards ceremony will take place  on March 25 in London, and a full list of nominations is available here.
