The best of the week's live comedy

The week's best live comedy.

Sunday July 7

LONDON: Daniel Kitson and Gavin Osborn return to the Regents Park Open Air Theatre for another slice of storytelling and music beneath a sky that's not going to be as star-speckled as they would have hoped. Needless to say the show, Outside. Again, has long sold out, but maybe there will be returns…

LONDON: There's a strong bill at the GiggleAid fundraiser at Indigo at the O2, and for just a tenner. Omid Djalili leads, with Ed Gamble, Daliso Chaponda, Flo and Joan, the Scummy Mummies and Sophie Duker all doing their bit for the British Red Cross. Tickets

Monday July 8

LONDON: The Country Mile comedy club in Kings Cross is fundraising for Save The Children with a busy bill that includes Edinburgh Comedy Award winner John Robbins, the impeccably educated Ivo Graham and Radio 4's Sindhu Vee among many others.

LONDON: Australian comedian Luke Heggie makes a point of having no point. His show, Have That, is unabashedly straightforward comedy as he sounds off about all the stuff that gets his goat, which is plenty. But with focus on the funny, Have That – which is at the Soho Theatre all week – is full of laughs, even if they are not always politically correct. Thursday July 11

NEWCASTLE: TanyaLee Davis is the big attraction at the Stand this weekend, even if 'big' doesn't relate to her stature. The American is just 3ft 6in tall - but also provocative, mischief-making, opinionated, filthy - and damn funny.

Friday July 12

LONDON: He's the consummate observational comic, but you'll need deep pockets or sturdy thighs to watch Jerry Seinfeld at the Eventim Apollo, Hammersmith: the only seated tickets left are £143.50 with booking fee, or you can stand at the back of the circle for £41.25.

GLASGOW: A fine line-up at the Glee this weekend, with consummate compere Mick Ferry introducing the mischievous Larry Dean, Radio Scotland stalwart Fred MacAulay and the youthful energy of Elliot Steel.

SOUTH SHIELDS: There's not really much to the South Tyneside Comedy Festival - just six gigs over two weeks. But it kicks off with Adam Rowe, as robustly funny a mainstream comic as you could hope for, at the Customs House. Chris Ramsey and Jason Cook have a muckabout show at the same venue tomorrow.

Saturday July 13

OXFORD: No duds at the Glee Club at the Bullingdon with the varied stand-up talents of Carey Marx, Gordon Southern, Peter Brush and Steve Gribbin.
