Prompted by George Orwell’s assertion that ‘every joke is a tiny revolution’, Tiff Stevenson interviews fellow comedians about whether comedy can be a force for social change in this new podcast, produced by cosmetics company Lush. Historical Roasts
In this new Netflix series ‘Roastmaster General’ Jeff Ross and a slew of guest comedians offer a new take on the familiar format by adopting the personas of historical figures such as Abraham Lincoln, Cleopatra, Muhammad Ali – and, most controversially, Adolf Hitler and Anne Frank as played by Gilbert Gottfried and Rachel Feinstein. This horror-comedy web series filmed in and around Scotland stars creator Bryn Owen as an exorcist. In the latest episode Eric Potts, a panto dame and former soap star, calls for the Demonologists help ridding his mansion of evil, demonic – and very sarcastic – voices.
