Entries open for 2026 Comedy Poster Awards
£1,000 prize pot up for grabs
Entries have opened for this year’s Comedy Poster Awards – with a £1,000 prize fund up for grabs.
Now in their tenth edition, the accolades celebrate the best marketing at the Edinburgh Fringe, with an audience award, decided by public vote, and a panel award, selected by industry experts.
Awards founder Gina Lyons, of Gobby Girl Productions, said: ‘Comedy posters are often the first joke an audience sees. They can be clever, ridiculous, beautiful, outrageous or completely bonkers – and the best ones make you want to know more. We wanted to create an award that celebrates the people who make that happen.’
The awards come with cash prizes this year via sponsorship from comedy-led marketing consultancy, Serious About Funny Business.
A spokesperson said: ‘In a new world of AI slop design we wanted to sponsor the craft, creativity and comedy that goes into selling shows at the best comedy festival in the world. These are world-class examples of using comedy to sell and deserve to be showcased and celebrated.’
Last year more than 200 posters entered, with more than 15,000 public votes registered. Jessica Aszkenasy’s Titclown won the panel award, and Alison Spittle’s Big won the audience award.
