Stand-ups to appear in celebrity version of BBC One quiz

Comedians Russell Kane, Rachel Parris, Imran Yusuf and Craig Hill and Liz Carr are to take part in a celebrity series of BBC game show Impossible.

The daytime quiz is moving to primetime for six episodes, in which 18 celebrity contestants will compete for the chance to win £10,000 for a charity of their choice.

The show’s hook is that some of the multiple-choice answers are actually impossible to be correct.

Kane said it was ‘one of the most fiendishly tricky quizzes I’ve ever thrown myself into’ – but he added that host Rick Edwards ‘was very handsome’.

Parris said: ‘My favourite bit was answering the Motown questions - at last a category I could get on board with.

‘But it was all a fun, surprising and literally educational experience – and I got to sit next to Debbie McGee (the lovely) and H-out-of-Steps! Dream come true!’

Hill added: ‘My favourite moment was guessing questions on sport - and accidentally getting them right.’

Others taking part in the series, to air later this summer, include Gregg Wallace, Anton Du Bek, Angela Scanlon, Spencer Matthews, Vicky Pattison and Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson.
