Comedies up for 2017 National Television Awards

The public will decide...

They couldn’t be much more different, but Mrs Brown’s Boys is taking on  Orange Is The New Black for the comedy gong at this year's National Television Awards. 

Also shortlisted in the category, which is based on audience votes are Benidorm and The Big Bang Theory. 

Meanwhile, The Last Leg with Adam Hills, Josh Widdicombe and Alex Brooker is up for best entertainment programme alongside The Graham Norton Show, Celebrity Juice and Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.

In other sections, Bake Off’s Mel and Sue and James Corden are up for best presenter alongside Gary Lineker, Rylan Clark-Neal and Ant & Dec, , who have won the title for the past 15 years.

And David Walliams is up for best judge against Len Goodman,  Mary Berry, Nicole Scherzinger and Simon Cowell

The results will be revealed at the NTA ceremony at The O2 London on January 25 and broadcast live on ITV.
