AMERICAN comedian Gabriel Iglesias has announced a one-off London gig. The stand-up - known for dressing in garish Hawaiian shirts and making jokes about his weight – is performing his Unity Through Laughter show at the Hammersmith Eventim Apollo on Sunday October 18. Tickets have just gone on sale (at 10am Friday) here.

RUTH JONES, James Corden, Johnny Vegas and Jonathan Ross are among the names said to b signed up to a TV show based on the VeryBritishProblems (@SoVeryBritish) Twitter feed. The show, akin to Grumpy Old Men, will feature comedians and other celebrities talking about the 'crushing weirdness and awkwardness of life as a Brit', interspersed with animations. It is being made for Channel 4.

DAVE CHAPPELLE is bringing his Juke Joint music show to London tonight and tomorrow. The comic, who currently performing a run of stand-up gigs at the Hammersmith Apollo will be joined by members of Stevie Wonder's touring band, harp player Frederic Yonnet and hip-hop DJ D-Nice at Loft Studios in Willesden Junction from 10pm. THE FINALISTS of the English Comedian Of The Year competition have been announced. Alistair Barrie, Andy Watson, Amir Khoshokhan, Ben Briggs, Brennan Reece, Chris Turner, Jake E Lambert, James Dowdeswell, Lauren Pattison, Nick Clarke and Patrick Draper will compete for the title in a sold-out gig at the Udderbelly on London's South Bank on Monday.

AMERICA's Comedy Central has ordered a sixth and seventh series of its sitcom Workaholics, written by and starring Blake Anderson, Adam DeVine, Anders Holm. 'I remember when the title of this show was ironic,' said the broadcaster's Kent Alterman. The show is made by the UK's Avalon Television.
