Tom Rosenthal to play Bertie Wooster

With Gavin & Stacey’s Adrian Scarborough as Jeeves in new stage produciton

Tom Rosenthal and Gavin & Stacey’s Adrian Scarborough are to play Jeeves and Wooster in a new stage comedy.

They will be appearing in a revival of the 2013 West End play Perfect Nonsense, based on PG Wodehouse’s 1938 novel The Code of the Woosters.

Rosenthal will take on the role of the well-meaning but hopelessly accident-prone Bertie Wooster, while Scarborough will play his famously resourceful valet Jeeves.

Originally, Matthew Macfadyen played Jeeves to Stephen Mangan’s Bertie Wooster; with  Mark Heap and Robert Webb later taking the roles.

The play was written by brothers David and Robert Goodale, and the new production, directed by Phillip Breen, will open at Aylesbury’s Waterside Theatre on January 29 before touring the UK.
