Harry Hill has made a ‘gloriously absurd dark comedy’ film about an 86-year-old woman who gives birth to a ‘weird’ child.

Richard Ayoade is the on-screen narrator for The Jillon, which stars  Flip Webster as the mother and Richard Syms as her husband.

Hill has released a trailer for the film, writing that when he first spoke about the premise ‘everyone looked at me like I was mad so Steve Coogan’s production company Baby Cow said let’s make a short taster to show them what I mean’.

The full short version will be released on YouTube on Friday, with Hill writing: ‘If we rack up enough of the Likes maybe we’ll get to make the long one’.

Hill currently hosts the video podcast The Harry Hill Show on the YouTube channel, with previous guests including Stewart Lee, Paul Whitehouse, Nish Kumar and Sara Pascoe, while on TV he is the presenter of Junior Bake Off.
