Radio panel game based around classroom jinxs

A new radio comedy panel game is in the pipeline, with comedians playing unruly pupils.

See Me Afterwards is hosted by Justin Edwards, from The Thick Of It, who is treated like the headmaster and must be addressed as ‘Sir’ at all times.

A pilot is being recorded next month with Edwards’s real-life girlfriend, Lucy Porter, as one of the naughty schoolchildren. Carrie Quinlan, Neil Edmond and Dan Maier make up the rest of the team.

A BBC spokesman said: ‘The show takes its inspiration from the school day, with rounds based on lessons like English, maths, French or PE and events such as lunchtime, sports or detention. These act as jumping-off points for invention and silliness: the questions relate to the subject, but aren't opportunities to show off any general knowledge, instead they invite daft answers.’

See Me Afterwards was created by Jason Hazeley and Joel Morris, who co-wrote The Framley Examiner and have written for Mitchell And Webb, Jon Culshaw, Armstrong And Miller and Peter Serafinowicz.

The show has not yet been commissioned, but it is hoped it will be picked up for Radio 4. The pilot is recording in Broadcasting House, central London on October 2. See our Free Tickets page for details of how to be in the audience.
