Nathan Cassidy says 'it's the natural next step'
Nathan Cassidy has released his new stand-up special as 36 consecutive Instagram reels.
The comic is releasing the show, It’s Not The End Of The World as a full-length show on YouTube from midday today, but first released it as a series of shorts on his Insta account.
Cassidy said: ‘It’s the natural next step in sharing comedy online - everyone else is doing crowd-work clips, now let’s release full specials this way.
‘Of course if Instagram reels isn’t your thing, you can just watch the whole thing in one chunk on YouTube, or on VHS if you’re really that ancient.'
And speaking about the content of the show, ISH Comedy Award founder Cassidy added: ‘I’m immensely proud of this show. It was my most difficult show to write to date as it all builds up to something very, very upsetting.
‘I couldn’t work out where to put this bit, as it often makes people howl with tears, including me! So… I put it in the last minute. Saving it until the final moment of the show I could make a joke out of how sad it is somehow.’
