The 2012 British Comedy awards were, as most comedy events are, bound to offend some with numerous references to paedophilia, sexism, violence, racism and personal jibes to various personalities and institutions. And according to the Chortle readers who took part in the online poll nobody agreed with the nominations with 50% of the voters stating they didn't agree with any of the nominations at all and 5o% stating they only agreed with some.
