Of course Donald Trump’s gold sneakers were going to be the subject of a sketch on Saturday Night Live….

In a parody movie trailer for White Men Can Trump, host Shane Gillis played an average guy named Gordon Dwyer who ‘can’t catch a break’ at work, in love or on the basketball court – until he receives a pair of the ex-president’s tacky shoes as a gift. 

Then he transforms into Trump – allowing Gillis to air his impersonation – doing no better in life, but now full of bullshit that convinces other he is…

At the end of the sketch, Gillis comes face-to-face with SNL cast member James Austin Johnson, who normally imitates the former president on the show
