First trailer for Amy Poehler’s new comedy

The first trailer has been released for Amy Poehler’s new comedy series Dig.

Made with Michael Schur – who co-created Parks and Recreation – the comedy stars Poehler as Elsie, an archaeologist fed up of all her finds being claimed by her boss, Neville, as played by  Hugh Laurie

So when she and her students unearth a rare artefact on a Grecian dig they plot to keep it secret so they can take the right credit.

The cast also includes Brits Kayvan Novak and Jon Pointing, with Taskmaster’s Jason Mantzoukas featuring as a guest star.

The comedy – heading for streaming service Peacock in the US – is an adaptation of Kate Myers’ bestseller Excavations.
