Young Ones star appeared on their show in 1984
It was an unlikely collision between old-school comedy and the new wave.
But in this 1984 sketch Rik Mayall and Tommy Cannon and Bobby Ball worked together wonderfully, united in slapstick.
The clip is from the duo's primetime LWT show, and we republish it today to mark Ball's death at the age of 76 last night.
