First look at Mo Gilligan's Momentum special

Coming to Netflix this month

Netflix has released the first clip for Mo Gilligan's first stand-up special.

The footage shows him describing a group of girls planning a birthday party  via a WhatsApp group.

His special, entitled Momentum,  was recorded at the Hackney Empire in East London in April, at the end of the Couple Cans tour that sold more than 50,000 tickets.

The special, which features a full live band, was directed by Chris Howe, whose credits include The Mash Report and Michael McIntyre's Big Show.

It arrives on Netflix on September 30.

This is the show that celebrated the launch of Nick Helm's album in 2016, and has previously been unseen by anyone who was not in the O2 Forum Kentish Town that night.

With typical hyperbole, the show is described thusly: 'Under-rehearsed, under-prepared and under pressure, Nick and his band somehow managed to pull together the greatest show in the last 27 years of living memory. That show went down as a thing of legend, often spoken about by weary travellers around campfires, but thought to have been lost to the sands of time forever.'
