When Steve Coogan was mistaken for an Amazon driver
(well, he has got great delivery...)
He might be one of British comedy’s biggest stars – but Steve Coogan was mistaken for an Amazon driver by the creator of his new series, Legends.
Neil Forsyth – whose credits also include The Gold and the comedy Bob Servant Independent – admitted to the mix-up at a press event to launch the drama in Glasgow last night,

The writer, above, said the confusion came as they were waiting to hear if the Alan Partridge creator was going to take the role of Don, who runs a team of inexperienced customs officers going undercover to bust drug-smuggling gangs.
‘We got in touch with him and I got told he was going to email me and see whether he would do it,’ Forsyth told host Sanjeev Kohli at a Bafta Scotland event at The Grosvenor Picture Theatre ‘And he hadn't emailed me.
‘It was late one night in January and I was waiting for this Amazon delivery. This mobile number kept calling me. I picked up and I said, "Where are you?" He said, "Well, I'm in the car." And I repeated, "Where are you?" He was a bit confused and he said, "It’s Steve Coogan." And I said, "Um, I thought you were an Amazon driver".’
Coogan’s response? ‘Not yet.’
Legends, based on a real-life 1990s operation, launches on Netflix on May 7.
