Including Sian Gibson and Neil Morrissey

Sian Gibson, Neil Morrissey and Shobna Gulati are to guest star in the third and final series of Daddy Issues, the BBC has announced.

The comedy – which stars Aimee Lou Wood as Gemma and David Morrissey as her well-meaning but hopeless dad Malcolm – has begun filming in and around Stockport.

Gibson, who starred in Car Share and The Power of Parker, plays Juno, the unhinged sister of Sarah Hadland’s character Rita. Morrissey, of Men Behaving Badly and Line of Duty fame, is Malcolm’s newly found friend Ellis. And Gulati, from Hullraisers and Coronation Street, plays the sultry new neighbour Odette.

Other guest cast includes Anthony Welsh, as Avery, a video game designer who becomes Gemma’s love interest. Liam Williams, as Rita’s put-upon boyfriend; Peep Show’s Sophie Winkleman as campsite owner Mary, and Seb Cardinal, as the mysterious Silas.

Written by Danielle Ward and made by Fudge Park, the new episodes are set 18 months on from the last.
