Five years after suffering a major stroke

American comedian Sinbad has returned to the stage, more than five years after suffering a stroke that left him unable to walk.

The 69-year-old played the Comedy Ice House in Pasadena, California, last night – and will return to the same venue on May 10.

And taking to Instagram ahead of the gig, he said: ‘It's just the beginning of me coming back. I’m so looking forward to these shows. I got so much stuff to talk about. I'm gonna be talking more trash than I ever talked."

He also announced that his daughter, Paige, whorl open for him, saying: ‘I'm looking forward to this because she talks more trash than I talk.’

Sinbad – whose real name is David Adkins – suffered a stroke in October 2020 when a blood clot traveled from his heart to his brain.
