Ten days of events in October

The Birmingham Comedy Festival has officially launched its 2023 programme.

The event, established in 2001, returns from October 6 for 10 days of performances, across the city.

Big names include Tom Davis, Jason Byrne and Jenny Eclair (pictured) as well as Norman Lovett, Seann Walsh, Robin Ince and Paul Foot

And local acts include Josh Pugh, Eric Rushton  and Rob Kemp – while a rising star will take home the Birmingham Comedy Festival Breaking Talent Award.

The festival is also celebrating the centenary of the birth of West Bromwich-born comedy writer Larry Stephens with a one-off performance of two of his scripts from The Goon Show.
