Comedy names revealed, including Phil Wang and Bridget Christie

North Yorkshire’s Deer Shed Festival has announced its first comedy headliners will be  Phil Wang, Bridget Christie, Mawaan Rizwan and Fern Brady.

The festival, now in its 13th edition, will also feature Brennan Reece, Lauren Pattison, Amy Gledhill, Spencer Jones, Emmanuel Sonubi, Hayley Ellis, Jazz Emu and Freddie Hayes as Potatohead. 

As well as stand-up, the festval’s Big Top will also play host to John Robertson’s real life adventure game, The Dark Room and the high-tech-comedy of Foxdog Studios.

Festival director Megan Evans said: "We are always so proud of our comedy line-up at Deer Shed, with the Big Top being one of my favourite places to visit during the weekend. This year promises to be no different, with some huge names like Phil Wang and Bridget Christie joining us for our late-night sets, as well as even more amazing family-friendly comedy still to be announced.’

These acts join a music line-up headlined by Public Service Broadcasting’s The Comet Is Coming and Glasgow indie outfit The Delgados, newly reformed after 17 years.

The Deer Shed festival will take place on July 28 to 31 at Baldersby Park, North Yorkshire and tickets are on sale here.
