When will Mock The Week's final series air?
Guests for farewell run announced
The final run of Mock The Week episodes will kick off at 10pm on September 16, BBC Two has confirmed.
As previously announced, the show will be bowing out this autumn after 17 years and 235 episodes.
The first episode after the summer hiatus will see host Dara O Briain and regular Hugh Dennis joined by stalwarts Ed Byrne and Milton Jones along with Rhys James, Maisie Adam and Evelyn Mok.
Other performers who will make appearances during the final six episodes include James Acaster, Angela Barnes, Ria Lina, Ahir Shah, Alasdair Beckett-King, Nish Kumar, Josh Pugh, Glenn Moore, Zoe Lyons and Sean McLoughlin .
The show will then end with two valedictory specials.
When Mock The Week’s cancellation was announced last month, a spokesman for programme-makers Angst said: We’re naturally hugely disappointed that Mock The Week is coming to an end and hope that we will be able to resurface somewhere some day in the future.
‘‘However, the last 17 years on BBC Two have been an absolute blast, it’s been a great privilege to work closely with scores of truly incredible performers.’
