Pop-up store to mark South Park's 25th anniversary

Full of ‘Instagrammable moments'

A dedicated South Park shop is to open in Central London for three days next month to mark the 25th anniversary of the animated comedy.

It promises ‘Instagrammable moments, unique photo ops, interactive elements [and] original artefacts from the series’ in a bid to build a social media buzz.

London is one of five cities to host the pop-up with the first, Mexico City, opening today. The others are Berlin,  Tokyo and Lucca, Italy.

It comes ahead of the broadcast of South Park: The 25th Anniversary Concert starring series co-creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, plus the bands Primus – who recorded the theme tune – and Ween.

Filmed at the Red Rocks Park in Colorado, the concert celebrates the role music has played in the series, and will premiere on Comedy Central UK on Friday August 26 at 11pm, before launching on Paramount+ UK the following day

The London shop will be open at 59 Greek Street, Soho, from Friday August 12 to Sunday August 14. It coincides exactly with the 25th anniversary, as the series launched on August 13, 1997.
