Everything you know is 'a bit rubbish'

Premise of Paul Sinha's new Radio 4 show

Paul Sinha is making a new Radio 4 show – based on telling trivia fans that their favourite bit of information is ‘a bit rubbish’.

The comic and quizzer is recording Paul Sinha’s Perfect Pub Quiz in front of an audience over the next couple of months.

And at each recording he will invite suggestions for  favourite quiz questions, then, as the BBC says, ‘kindly explain why they’re a bit rubbish, before offering up not only a better question, but also the fascinating stories behind the answer’.

The blurb explains: ‘The problem with quizzes is that the same questions keep coming up, like "What’s the name of the only member of ZZ Top without a beard?". So the more quizzes you do the more predictable they get.’

Episodes will be recorded at London comedy clubs Up The Creek and The Backyard on February 28 and March 22 respectively. Free audience tickets are available from the BBC website.

Sinha has previously made three series of his General Knowledge show for Radio 4 and two of History Revision, as well as being a regular on the Friday night topical comedy shows.

Oh, and it’s Frank Beard, as you probably already knew.
