Guests revealed for Between The Covers

Micky Flanagan, Nish Kumar and Rachel Parris are among the comedians taking part in the next series of BBC Two’s book club  Between The Covers.

In each of six weeks, host Sara Cox is joined by a panel of four celebrities, each of whom bring their favourite book  to discuss.

The guests also discuss a ‘big hitter’ book from last year as well as a newly published book which they think deserves to be put in the spotlight.

Other comics taking part are Rob Delaney, Mel Giedroyc,  Griff Rhys-Jones.  David Baddiel, Katherine RyanZoe Lyons, Hugh Dennis, Robert Webb, Sophie Willan and Reginald D Hunter.

Emma Cahusac, commissioner for BBC Arts, said: ‘The first series of Between The Covers sparked a national conversation about books, so I’m delighted it’s returning with another fantastic line-up.’

Amanda Ross, of producers Cactus TV, added: ‘Between the Covers is the ultimate fantasy book group. We’ve assembled a dream cast and chosen six great new books that really are something for everyone’s taste.

‘The guests’ passionate, engaging banter makes us all want to try books we wouldn’t otherwise have picked up.’

No broadcast date has yet been confirmed for the second series of Between The Covers.
