As the general election campaign hots up

Matt Forde’s political podcast is to be released daily in the run-up to December’s general election, the comic has announced.

Usually a weekly show, The Political Party will pick up the pace from November 11, with new episodes recorded and released on the same day.

Over its 111 episodes, the show has accrued more than 2.7 million downloads, with previous  guests including Nicola Sturgeon, Ken Clarke, George Osborne, Tony Blair and Alastair Campbell.

Forde has also added five London dates to the tour of his live  show Brexit, Pursued By A Bear, starting with the Southbank Centre on November 9. The full schedule is here.
