Comic has sold more tickets for the SEC than anybody else

Kevin Bridges has been presented with an award from the operators of Glasgow’s SSE Hydro, after selling out 19 dates there in his current tour.

Peter Duthie, chief executive of the SEC, said the ‘Gie It Laldy’ award recognises exceptional contribution to  live entertainment.

Bridges said: ‘Thanks to the Hydro for the award. It's an honour to play so many shows at such a brilliant arena and most importantly thanks to the people of Glasgow and those who travelled from all over to see the show.  Amazing audiences and here's to many more nights over the years.’

Bridges has played 46 performances at SEC venues over his career, selling more tickets than any other solo artist.
